Chiropractic Assistant Certification in the State of Oregon
Lisa is an approved vendor with the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners to provide an initial certification class required for Chiropractic Assistants. This 6-hour class is offered once/month on the first Tuesday of the month at Lisa's office in downtown Portland. Topics covered are Chiropractic theory and care, the Oregon law as it pertains to assistants, day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of the job, safety and sanitation considerations, and all the indications and contraindications of the physiotherapies performed on the job (hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, massage, and a brief discussion on physical therapy). The fee for this class is $150 and includes the Study Guide required to take the open-book take-home exam with the OBCE. You must pre-register for the class by calling Lisa at (503) 407-8246. The fee is non-refundable, but can be used towards a future class. |
